I am thrilled to be included on the Board of Kids for Peace. The Mission and Vision of this organization align well with my personal values and service intentions. I have worked in the field of special education for many years, and my focus has consistently been on creating communities of teachers and learners who value multiculturalism, peaceful coexistence, and thoughtful acts of kindness. I am dedicated to modeling and inspiring others to contribute their efforts to create a safe and peaceful world.

  Work Experience 19 years K-12 public school Special Education teacher (Massachusetts and California); 20 years as a Special Education Teacher Education professor at CA State University San Marcos; Special Education Program Coordinator; Credential Program Developer and Consultant; Student Teacher Coordinator and Supervisor  
  Hobbies Reading, writing for children, gardening, hiking, cooking, movies  
  Interests Family gatherings, researching ancestry, art, music, historical fiction, children’s literature, poetry, tennis  
  Favorites Italian food, New England cuisine, wine, chocolate, friendships, sunshine  
  Achievements A happy marriage, a wonderful son, a successful career, self-respect  
  Personal Desire To motivate others to become involved in improving social, educational, and environmental conditions throughout the world  
  Wish for the World That a selfless, universal effort to improve and keep safe all people and their planet becomes the focus of every culture, and that the inclusion of every person within each society, regardless of gender, race, color, religion, sexual orientation, ability level, body type, or age become the norm.
