In celebration of World Kindness Day, Kids for Peace and Jazzercise will host a special event at the cherished “KINDNESS MATTERS” community landmark. Taking place one week after the election, our youth aim to inspire our communities to bridge divisions and unite in the spirit of kindness.

Event Highlights:

Youth-Led Pep Rally

Kids for Peace youth of all ages will share why KINDNESS MATTERS, especially in tumultuous times. They will make a call to all community members to move beyond our differences and unite in the spirit of kindness.

Kindness Dance Routine

Jazzercise instructors will lead a community kindness dance routine for everyone to join in. Jazzercise, a presenting sponsor of the 2025 Great Kindness Challenge, is perfectly aligned with the mission of spreading kindness and promoting wellness. Their involvement will give the event a high-energy boost, making them an ideal partner for this inspiring initiative.

Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony

To build on the momentum of the KINDNESS MATTERS landmark’s impact, elected officials, Carlsbad Chamber of Commerce and esteemed community members will help us officially launch the KINDNESS MATTERS On The Move campaign with a special ribbon-cutting ceremony. This new initiative will extend the message of kindness into the broader community by bringing a 4 foot tall exact replica of the landmark sign to local businesses.

Over 75 local Kindness Certified Companies – businesses leading with kindness and actively supporting The Great Kindness Challenge – will host the traveling Kindness Matters replica at their offices to inspire a culture of kindness.

Carlsbad Strawberry Fields

ARRIVAL TIME:

Please arrive by 3:45.

PARKING:

Park in the west-side of the parking lot (closest to the I-5 freeway).

ATTIRE:

The event is outside in the dirt field, so wear layers and comfortable shoes.

TRACTOR TRANSPORT:

We will have a hayride out to the KINDNESS MATTERS sign (since the sign is approximately half a mile from the parking lot.) The tractor will leave at 3:40, 3:55 & 4:10.

SEATING:

We will have chairs available. We will set up right in front of the KINDNESS MATTERS landmark.

CLOSING:

We anticipate ending with a big group photo in front of the KINDNESS MATTERS sign before the sun sets. The tractor will then take you back to the parking lot.
