Care For Our Earth

Care for Our Earth program provides opportunities for youth to work together to address – and solve – some of our world’s most pressing environmental issues. Tapping into our youth’s innovative thinking and “can do” attitudes, students put the third line of our Peace Pledge – I pledge to care for our earth with my healing heart and hands – into action.

We thank The Dr. Seuss Foundation for their generous support!

A TWO-PART PROGRAM:

Participate in one or both.

I. Idle-Free Schools Campaign

We invite any school to implement a campaign called, “Turn Your Key – Be Idle Free” on their school campus. This unifying campaign will bring awareness to the harmful toxins released as cars idle during student pick-up at schools and beyond.

Check out the 5 steps to implementing this at your school.

Kids for Peace has provided tools to assist participating schools every step of the way. Having implemented this program locally, we are ready to offer guidance to help you make the campaign as impactful as possible!

II. Environmental Projects

Youth from all schools and Kids for Peace chapters are invited to create, implement and promote environmental projects that are personally meaningful and geographically relevant.

Ask your kids what their earth-conscious passions are:

  • Single-Use Plastic Awareness?
  • Storm Drain Stenciling?
  • Beach/Trail Cleanups?
  • Composting?

Whatever they decide will help guide multiple earth-friendly projects throughout the year. Help inspire others to care for our Earth – share your environmental projects with us here!
